I am finally releasing my newest skin for Steam, Carbon, to the public. It is available from both deviantART and Ryno Studios. I would like to thank all of the people who gave me feedback, especially my beta testers.
I am putting the final touches on my Resources page, where you will find helpful tips and tricks for anything from Photoshop to web server configurations, from personal insights to general life lessons. I will even post links to other web sites, so you don't have to spend time searching the ever expanding Internet.
As you can see I gave Ryno Studios yet another complete remake. I think this one is pretty cool, personally. I created my own CMS and coded the entire portfolio in PHP, which is something I have been wanting to do for a long time. If you find any bugs, or if you have any suggestions, please let me know; This is a step in a new direction for me, so I really am in new territory.
My name is Ryan Thaut; I am 20 years old. I am currently working on my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (with a minor in Computer Engineering) at Montana State University. I do all of my graphic and web design work outside of class as a hobby, but I am currently trying to get into some courses relating to web development and graphic design at the university.
I have been working extensively with computer hardware since 2002, computer software design since 2004, and am now working heavily with graphics and web design. I really enjoy interface work and client-side/user end development, but I have been serving as a "Jack-of-all-trades" for my local community for several years. I have done freelance work as well as working in a Dell authorized computer repair shop. I have done commission work for local businesses, including web design and software engineering. I lend my time and services to several on-line communities, as well as doing graphic design for individuals around the globe. I know several programming languages and have an extensive knowledge of many development applications, all of which you can read about on my Services page.
